THE BEST HONEY BAKED CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Have you ever thought of adding honey in your cookies? These Honey Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies have a soft warm taste that will melt in your mouth!
I was going through my pantry and noticed that I had a huge bottle of honey just sitting in the pantry. I was getting ready to make just your regular homemade chocolate chips cookie, when I thought to myself, what if I add honey to the mixture. I thought this was a brilliant idea because you definitely can’t go wrong with honey. We add honey to almost everything! From tea to your favorite Asian meal. It’s versatile and can also be found in any household pantry.
How do you make gooey chocolate chip cookies?
The secret to making this best chocolate chip cookie recipe is not to over-bake them.
I noticed that adding honey to the recipe has made the texture of the cookies soft. My definition to the perfect chocolate chip cookies are crispy around the edges, and soft in the middle. My favorite part is breaking the cookie in the middle and seeing the chocolate melt apart. This recipe came out exactly to how I like my cookies to be.
Making cookies was a bit of a challenge for me. I could never get them perfect. They were either too soft, or too hard. Sometimes I would add too many chocolate chips in the batter and you couldn’t really enjoy the texture and the taste of the cookie itself. You need just the right amount of everything to be able to enjoy both taste and texture. Size of the cookies did not matter to me since I could eat any kind of cookies. But I did notice that if I measured 1/4 cup of the cookie dough, they came out perfect. They were not too small, or too big. Just the perfect size to enjoy the cookie.
So I would for sure add honey next time you make a batch of cookies!
Don’t forget to store your cookies in a container with a lid to make sure they are still fresh the next time you are craving some cookies.
Enjoy, and I hope you will enjoy these cookies just as I did!

Notes
- Remember, when baking cookies, they cook up fast. So these cookies will still cook completely when taking out of the oven. Keep your eyes on these cookies because you don't want them to burn.
- For best results, use a good quality honey. I use raw honey that I buy from Costco. Some honey are mixed with corn syrup and they have been watered down. This will make the cookies turn out very different.
- I love using Ghiradelli chocolate chips. They are my go to when making any kind of chocolate chip cookies.
